Nordsee 1 OSS Installation

The Nordsee 1 OSS Installation consists of the installation of one complete jacket construction, located approximately 40 kilometres North of the island of Juist in the German EEZ of the North Sea.

Scaldis SMC was awarded the Transport & Installation contract by Bladt Industries A/S, for the jacket and topside structures. Subsequently VSF was awarded the subcontract for pile installation and grouting operations of the jacket.

By the end of April the heavy lift vessel Rambiz was mobilized in Eemshaven and sailed directly to the installation site. The piling operations were performed by VSF with an IHC S-1400 Hydrohammer, fitted with an 2500mm sleeve and powered by one P-3300W power pack. Also an Internal Lifting Tool was supplied by VSF and operated for upending/stabbing the jacket piles.

The required grouting scope formed also part of VSF’ subcontract. A total of 135 tonnes of high strength Densit Ducorit© S5 grouting material was supplied, mixed and pumped into the sleeves of the jacket.

Pile dimensions: 

- 4 piles Ø2438 x 50/85 mm with a total length of 67,5 metres

Depth:  

- Penetration into seabed 52,0 metres.

Weight:

- Net pile weight approx. 224 tonnes
