Installation of a new tidal gauge structure in the Wash Estuary, near King’s Lynn (Norfolk, UK).
The project activities for installation of the mono and tower sections included:
- mobilisation crane barge in Rotterdam-NL, transit to and mobilisation in King’s Lynn-UK
- transit to site (The Wash area)
- survey for all activities (crane barge position, mono pile, scour and tower)
- mono pile installation by using vibrator hammer and impact hammer
- during piling Pile Driving Analysis monitoring
- pile fill in with gravel
- scour protection on seabed around pile, 2 layers of big bags (200x)
- installation cathodic protection
- installation of tower section
- grouting tower section to mono pile
- installation top platform
- assistance during installation actual tide gauge
- transit to and demobilisation in Rotterdam-NL
